Kailas FUGA EX3 KS2513108 - Unisex Trail Running Shoe
Built for the Long Haul. Armored for the Mountain.
The Kailas FUGA EX3 (KS2513108) is a max-cushion unisex trail running shoe engineered for ultra-distance mountain races and technical terrain. Think of it as a tank built for the trails — heavily armored around the perimeter, supremely stable underfoot, and relentlessly comfortable over hundreds of miles of punishment.
Max-Cushion Midsole
The updated ECCEVAI plush compound boosts energy rebound by 20% over previous generations. With a high stack height of 36mm heel / 28mm forefoot (8mm drop) and aggressive rearfoot rocker geometry, the EX3 cradles every landing and smoothly rolls heel-strikers forward — mile after mile, climb after climb.
Vibram® Megagrip Outsole
The premium Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole features aggressive 4mm multi-directional triangular lugs: forefoot lugs optimized for uphill climbing traction, and a washboard-patterned heel zone engineered for powerful braking control on muddy or slippery descents.
AWS 3.0 Dual-Zone Lacing System
The proprietary Adjust Whole Sole (AWS) 3.0 quick-lace system uses two independent tightening buckles:
- Forefoot buckle — locks your foot forward to prevent toenail damage on steep downhills.
- Midfoot & ankle buckle — wraps the collar tightly for lateral stability over uneven, technical ground.
Trail Utility
- Reinforced nylon engineered mesh upper with extensive TPU overlays along the perimeter and midfoot — an armored shield against rocks, gravel, and mountain debris.
- Built-in lace pocket on the tongue keeps laces secure and tangle-free.
- 4-point integrated gaiter attachment system ready out of the box.
- Strong structural midfoot and heel sidewalls for a highly guided, ultra-stable rearfoot ride.
Sizing Advice
- Runs approximately half a size long due to a revised, more rounded toe box — widened 4% in the forefoot and 15% in the heel to accommodate natural foot swelling over long distances.
- For a precision, locked-in fit: size down half a size from your normal running shoe size.
- For wide feet or thick ultra socks: your standard true-to-size will provide ample room for swelling on race day.
