Serious Player Only Player 1.5 “KR Birthday” PE SPO2509S01019
A premium player exclusive (PE) colorway from the upgraded Player 1.5 series — a highly customizable, low-to-the-ground speed weapon for guards and shifty players who demand zero-latency court feel. The “KR Birthday” edition features a stealthy black base accented with sharp metallic gold detailing on the branding and structural lines, honoring the minimalist design philosophy of classic low-top Nike Kobe sneakers.
Design Concept
Dropping the ankle collar and removing excess bulk, the Player 1.5 chassis is built to feel as light as possible. The modular outer shell acts as a structural holster for interchangeable drop-in midsoles, allowing players to swap internal cushioning foams to match different playstyles and court conditions.
Performance Profile
- Explosive 2.0 Drop-In Midsole: Full-length PEBA-based foam — significantly lighter and higher-rebounding than previous generations. Fully swappable for custom SPO setups.
- Advanced Stability Platform: Extended EVA base unit paired with an anti-pinch lateral TPU frame to prevent foot slide off the footbed during hard deceleration
- 3D Carbon Fiber Heel Counter: Genuine 3D molded carbon fiber stabilizes the rear foot, working alongside an interior anti-slip “cat-tongue” microfiber lining to completely eliminate heel lift
- Multi-Directional Herringbone Outsole: Highly resilient rubber pattern built to bite hard on indoor hardwoods and deliver durable performance on outdoor courts
Sizing & Fit
- True to Size (TTS) for Most: Fits narrow and standard-width feet at true size. SPO redesigned the toe box for the 1.5 generation — wider and lower to eliminate the pinky-toe pinching of older Player 1 Plus models.
- Wide Feet: Size up 0.5 to safely clear the rigid lateral TPU containment walls.
