What kind of sneakers do the top high school players like to wear?

Recently, I watched the play-in games of Nike High School Basketball League. I was lucky to witness history: Tsinghua High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University was eliminated by Qingdao No.67 High School in the play-in games. For the first time in the entire history of Nike High School Basketball League, it failed to qualify for the finals. The national finals will be held in Beijing, and we will also go to the scene to witness the birth of the champion in person. During the play-in games, as a sneaker media, we noticed several interesting details:

Firstly, there were a lot of players wearing the Hyperdunk 2017. Whether it was the men's basketball team or the women's basketball team, most players chose the HD2017 to compete. And regarding the sneakers on their feet, we asked the students on the court, and basically none of them were arranged by the brand. That is to say, most of the players in this year's Nike High School Basketball League recognized the actual combat performance of the HD2017. There was even a member of Tsinghua High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University who wore a pair of the original high-top HD2017 to compete, which shows how highly recognized this pair of shoes is on campus. Below the HD2017, it was the Kobe series, and the Kobe 6 had the highest proportion. If you have worn the reissued Kobe 6 in actual combat or paid attention to the online reviews, you will basically come to a conclusion: the reissued ZK6 is not as comfortable to wear as the original one.

Secondly, not all players wore Nike shoes. Perhaps due to personal preferences, some players chose Li-Ning sneakers to compete on the court. Sneakers of brands like Anta, 361°, and Peak could also be seen. But you may not imagine that, apart from Nike, the brand whose number of shoes worn on the feet could rival that of Li-Ning was not Anta, not 361°, nor Peak, but SPO.

Basically, in every team, whether it was the men's basketball team or the women's basketball team, there was at least one player wearing SPO sneakers, and most of them were the Player1 Plus. Among them, in many teams, it was the core players, that is, the key players in the team who chose SPO, which really surprised me. Personally, I guess that on the one hand, high school students nowadays are quite interested in such fresh niche brands and are willing to try their products and bring them to crucial games. On the other hand, SPO has done a lot of work on each high school varsity team and sponsored its sneakers to those outstanding student groups. After the players felt the recognition and respect from the brand, they chose to wear SPO products for a long time. I personally feel that the latter possibility is greater. After all, SPO has already gained a certain popularity in North America and even made NBA players willing to choose to wear the Player1 to compete. The efforts they put in offline may be even more astonishing than we can imagine.

"Let the coolest players on the court wear SPO." This was a sentence that came to my mind after watching the play-in games of Nike High School Basketball League.

To be honest, doing this is much more effective than shooting a high-cost and high-end video advertisement, and its positioning is very targeted and really hits people's hearts. It has a bit of the flavor of And1's "Only the strongest streetball players deserve to wear And1" back in the day. If this idea can continue all the time, then in the future, SPO's psychological status among student groups may continue to rise.
