The Li-Ning DLO 1 is the inaugural signature shoe for NBA star D'Angelo Russell, officially launching in May 2025. Developed under the Way of Wade (WoW) sub-brand, the series is designed specifically for agile, small-weight guards who prioritize court feel and quick lateral movements.
The DLO 1 combines top-tier materials with a design philosophy inspired by Russell’s "butterfly-like" playstyle and Muhammad Ali’s "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" mantra.
· Dual-Cushioning System: Features a full-length Li-Ning BOOM midsole for explosive energy return, complemented by LIGHT FOAM ULTRA in the heel for lightweight impact absorption.
· Butterfly Stability Frame: An eye-catching, butterfly-shaped TPU structure in the midfoot provides lateral firmness, working alongside the PROBAR LOC stabilizer to prevent ankle rollovers and torsion.
· Outdoor-Ready Traction: Utilizes a TUFF RB outsole, which is 2.5 times more durable than standard rubber, making it ideal for high-intensity play on outdoor courts.
· Ventilated Build: The upper is made from a breathable textile mono yarn mesh with no-sew overlays, inspired by the thinness and strength of dragonfly wings.
The series launched with a retail price of $110–$119 and features several storytelling designs.
· Li-Ning DLO 1 "Canvas": The debut colorway inspired by a painting by Russell's son, featuring expressive brushstroke graphics.
· Li-Ning DLO 1 "The First Pick": A "Beige/Cream" launch colorway honoring his #2 overall draft selection.
· Li-Ning DLO 1 "Energy Drink": A vibrant "Berry-Red" edition inspired by his endorsed sports beverage.
· Li-Ning DLO 1 "Podcast": A "White/Lime Green" version celebrating his off-court creative ventures.
· Li-Ning DLO 1 "Royal Blue Skies": An extremely limited collaboration with KICKS CREW, limited to only 300 pairs worldwide.
The DLO 1 is known for a very secure, performance-oriented fit.

· Wide Feet: Go one full size up to ensure comfort in the toe box.
